Charges pending in crash that injured trooper

UPDATE 5:31 p.m.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol Lt. Derrick Watson, 23 year-old Kesha Miller of Chuckey may be charged with a crime for her role in the crash.

"No charges have been placed at this time," Watson said. "At this point in time it looks like she failed to yield to the emergency vehicle that was there."

Watson says he will hand over his final report to the district attorney Friday. It will then be up to the DA to decide whether or not Miller will be charged, Watson said.

Regardless, he hopes people remember the move over law when they approach a parked emergency vehicle on the side of the road.

"Vehicles, they have a tremendous amount of force whenever they are traveling down the roadway," Watson said. "Just some way or another, move away from us to give us that extra safe barrier."
